What You'll Experience

This is not the Ranthambore crowds - this is Rajasthan's quiet, rewilded jungle. Sariska is where tigers were lost and then brought back to life. Today, ST2's cubs rule these valleys.

Just 2.5 hours from Jaipur, the Aravallis turn into a dense dry deciduous forest. It's wilder, quieter and more intimate than Ranthambore. Leopard, hyena, jungle cat, sambar and nilgai are common, and with luck, a tiger crossing the track in front of your jeep.

This 1-night break is built for a quick escape with your own private jeep. No sharing, no waiting - your naturalist can stop where you want, for as long as you want. We drive you for the afternoon safari on Day 1, you sleep inside the jungle zone, and you are back in the forest at first light on Day 2 when predators are most active. And unlike other parks, Sariska has temples, a fort and a lake inside the core - you experience wildlife and heritage together.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Jaipur to Sariska - Afternoon Private Jeep Safari

Meet your private guide and driver at your hotel in Jaipur. Travel together by private AC car to Sariska Tiger Reserve / Tehla (approx. 2.5 - 3 hrs). Your guide will share stories of how Sariska lost all its tigers in 2005 and how it became India's first successful tiger reintroduction program en-route.

On arrival, check-in to your 3-star jungle hotel / resort and enjoy lunch (on your own).

Afternoon - with your guide, transfer to Sariska Tiger Reserve gate for your private jeep safari (exclusive 6-seater open gypsy for your party only, zone as allotted by forest department). 3-hour safari inside the reserve with a government naturalist - tracking tigers, leopards, striped hyena, golden jackal, chital, and 200+ bird species. Drive past Siliserh Lake and into the core to Pandupol temple.

After safari, return to hotel. Evening at leisure, dinner at hotel and overnight in Sariska.

Day 2: Morning Private Jeep Safari & Return to Jaipur via Siliserh Lake

Early morning wake-up with tea/coffee, then drive again to Sariska Tiger Reserve for your second private jeep safari (morning safari is best for tiger and leopard movement).

After the safari, return to hotel for breakfast and check-out. Before leaving, short guided visit to Siliserh Lake and Palace - a scenic lakeside palace built by Maharaja Vinay Singh with boat views and Aravalli backdrop.

Afterwards, comfortable private drive back to Jaipur with your guide and driver and be dropped off at your hotel by 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

Good to know before you go

• Private jeep means the gypsy is exclusive to your party (max 6 persons per jeep), but safari zone is still allotted by the forest department on the day - you cannot choose a zone.
• Private jeep gives you full flexibility to stop for photography and tracking as per your naturalist's advice. Arrive 30 mins before safari time.
• Wear neutral / earthy colours - green, brown, khaki. No bright colours or perfumes. Carry hat, sunscreen and water.
• Tiger sighting is never guaranteed - Sariska is a dense forest and tigers are shy after reintroduction. Two private safaris increase chances significantly but sighting is in wild, not guaranteed.
• Best time: Oct to June. Park remains closed in monsoon (July-Sept). Oct-Nov and March-June have best sightings. Morning safari is very cold in winter (Dec-Jan) - carry warm jacket, gloves and muffler.
• Carry valid ID proof (Passport / Aadhar) - mandatory for safari entry.
• Pandupol Hanuman Temple is inside core - closed on Tuesdays and Saturdays for vehicles due to pilgrim rush, your guide will advise alternative route.
