Founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II, Udaipur is the most romantic city in Rajasthan. This 2-night break gives you both sides of Udaipur - royal heritage and living art. You will cruise on Lake Pichola at sunset, watch the sunset panorama from Monsoon Palace high above the lakes, and sit with a master miniature painter whose family has painted for 7 generations to create your own Pichwai.

You choose how you want to travel - just car, car + stay, or fully taken care of.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Jaipur to Udaipur - Evening on Lake Pichola

Pick-up from your hotel in Jaipur by private AC car with driver (and Tour Leader from Jaipur to Jaipur if All-Inclusive option selected). Drive to Udaipur (approx. 6.5 - 7 hrs).

On arrival, check-in to your hotel (if Accommodation option selected). Meet your local guide in Udaipur (if Local Guide or All-Inclusive option selected).

Evening - Boat ride on Lake Pichola at sunset, walk through old city - Jagdish Temple and bazaars. Evening at leisure overlooking the lake.

Day 2: Udaipur Palaces, Painting Class & Culture

Breakfast at hotel (if Accommodation option selected). Full day sightseeing.

Morning - Visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari. Afternoon - Exclusive miniature painting class (approx. 1.5 hrs) with master artist - you create and keep your own painting.

Late Afternoon - Drive up to Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh) for sunset panorama over all lakes and City Palace. Evening - Dharohar cultural show at Bagore Ki Haveli. Overnight in Udaipur (if Accommodation option selected).

Day 3: Udaipur to Jaipur

Breakfast (if Accommodation option selected) and check-out. Morning at leisure. Drive back to Jaipur with your driver (and Tour Leader if All-Inclusive). Drop at hotel by 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

Good to know before you go

• Private Car is included in ALL options - you always get a private AC car with experienced driver from Jaipur to Jaipur.
• Accommodation is included ONLY if you select Option 2, 3 or 4. Option 1 is for guests who want to book their own stay.
• Local Guide is included ONLY if you select Option 3 or 4. Option 4 gives you double expertise - Tour Leader from Jaipur to Jaipur for en-route stories + Local Udaipur Guide for deep city knowledge.
• All-Inclusive Option 4 is fully cashless on ground - car, tour leader, local guide, all entry fees, accommodation with breakfast, boat ride and painting class all included. Just pay for your lunch/dinner.
• Monsoon Palace road is steep - last 2 kms requires forest gypsy. Included in Option 4, pay directly in other options (approx. Rs. 300-400 per car).
• Best time: July to March - Monsoon Palace is most dramatic in monsoon. Wear comfortable shoes for City Palace.
• Jaipur-Udaipur drive is 400 kms - we recommend 7:00 AM departure from Jaipur.
